“Natural” appears on a great deal of packaging and often means very little. We use it in a narrow, practical sense, so it is worth being precise about what we are claiming.

Our working definition

When we call a product 100% natural, we mean that nothing has been added to it — no preservatives, no colouring, no artificial flavouring, no sweeteners, no stabilisers. The ingredient list is the product itself. Honey is honey. Red palm oil is red palm oil. Groundnut butter is groundnuts.

It also means we avoid processing that fundamentally changes the product’s character. Straining, roasting, pressing, and sealing are part of making food usable and safe. Bleaching, deodorising, and chemical extraction are not steps we take.

What it does not mean

It does not mean every jar looks identical. Natural products vary with season and source — honey darkens, oil shifts in shade, nut butter separates. Consistency of quality is what we control. Uniformity of appearance is not something nature offers, and we would rather not fake it.
